Wicker lobster pots - 2 sizes
Wicker lobster pots - 2 sizes
Newly made wicker and seagrass lobster pots inspired by traditional fishing creels, available in two sizes. Their open woven construction and natural tones make them particularly good for adding texture without feeling too heavy, whether displayed individually on a shelf or grouped together on a wall. They can also be adapted into unusual light shades, where the open weave allows the light through beautifully. A great fit for coastal cottages, seafood restaurants, pubs and relaxed interiors looking for something with a subtle nod to the coast rather than obvious seaside decor.

More About This Piece
Based on the traditional form of lobster and shellfish pots used by fishermen, these newly made versions are all about the shape and texture. The combination of thicker woven seagrass with finer wicker creates an open structure, with the funnel-shaped entrance forming a particularly good detail when viewed from the end.
Available in two sizes, they look especially good grouped together at different angles on a wall or stacked on open shelving. Their lightweight open construction also lends itself well to being converted into pendant light shades, particularly hung in multiples over a kitchen island, bar or restaurant table.
Condition
Newly made using natural materials. Variations in colour, weave, shape and individual fibres are to be expected and form part of the natural finish of each piece.
Why We Love It
We wanted something that referenced old fishing gear without looking like themed seaside decor, and these get that balance right. The weave, shape and natural colour do all the work. We particularly like several grouped together — either across a wall or converted into lights.
