Pair of Handthrown Teal Studio Pottery cups

Made by Miranda in her Cornwall pottery studio, these small ceramic tumblers are individually thrown on the potter's wheel and finished by hand. Their simple handleless shape makes them particularly well suited to flat whites and smaller coffees, although they're equally useful for tea or other drinks.

The teal blue glaze is the real highlight, with flowing drips, deeper pools of colour and subtle variations across the surface. The glaze settles differently on each cup during firing, giving every tumbler its own individual finish. These are one-off studio pottery pieces rather than mass-produced ceramics, so slight differences in shape, colour and glaze are to be expected.

The size is spot on for a flat white, and we particularly like the way the teal glaze runs down the sides, creating a slightly different finish on every cup. Simple, useful pottery that's a pleasure to pick up every morning.
