Handthrown Studio Pottery Plate in Blue, White & Green glaze
Handthrown Studio Pottery Plate in Blue, White & Green glaze
A hand-thrown stoneware plate by Miranda, a studio potter based in Cornwall. Lovely for serving cakes, pastries, fruit or sharing a few nibbles, it also makes a beautiful decorative piece displayed on a shelf, or coffee table. Finished in a mix of blue, white and green glazes, with flowing colours and natural variations created during the glazing and firing process. The combination of colours gives the plate an individual finish, making it just as appealing on display as it is for everyday use. A one-off piece of Cornish studio pottery.

More About This Piece
Handmade by Miranda in Cornwall, this stoneware plate has been individually thrown on the potter's wheel and glazed by hand. The combination of blue, white and green creates an interesting mix of colour, with the glazes flowing and settling differently across the surface during firing. Its simple shape makes it useful for serving food, whether that's a slice of cake with afternoon tea, a few pastries at breakfast or something to share at the table.
Alternatively, display it upright on a plate stand, prop it on a kitchen shelf or include it amongst a collection of handmade ceramics. As an individually made piece, the plate has its own variations in shape, colour and glaze, rather than the uniform finish of mass-produced pottery.
A one-off piece, sold individually.
Condition
New, handmade studio pottery. Natural variations in shape, glaze and surface finish are part of the hand-making process.
Why We Love It
The mix of blue, white and green is particularly lovely, with the colours creating an interesting finish across the plate. We like that it's equally at home serving something delicious or simply sitting on a shelf where the glaze can be appreciated.
