An old French wooden coat rack with five oversized bobbin-style pegs, finished in a simple worn white paint. The chunky turned ends and long wooden pegs give it a really good shape while providing plenty of room for coats, scarves, towels and bags. The white painted surface has softened and marked with use rather than looking too clean or newly finished. A great practical piece for a hallway, boot room or utility, but equally good in a bathroom for towels or a bedroom for clothes.

More About This Piece
The five wooden pegs are generously spaced along a substantial wooden rail, each finished with an oversized turned bobbin end. It’s a simple piece of everyday French storage, but the scale of those pegs makes it much more interesting than an ordinary hook rail.
The existing white paint has been left as we found it, with the small marks and areas of wear that have developed through previous use.
Condition
Good used condition with marks, knocks, small paint losses and general wear consistent with age and previous use. The worn painted finish has been retained rather than refinished. Please study the photographs as these form part of the condition description.
Why We Love It
Those big bobbin ends are what make it. Simple, useful and slightly oversized, with just enough wear to the white paint. We'd use it for coats in a hallway or loaded with striped towels in a bathroom.
