An original French oil painting on canvas depicting a quiet street lined with old characterful buildings, painted in a muted palette of earthy browns, ochres, greens and soft neutrals. More About This Piece

Rather than relying on bright colour, this painting is all about its quieter earthy palette and loosely worked surface. The old French street and buildings are picked out in layers of brown, ochre, green and neutral tones, giving it a relaxed, slightly faded appearance.

The simple oak frame works particularly well with the painting and makes it an easy piece to introduce into a rustic or more pared-back interior.

Condition

This is an older painting and there are some worn areas to the canvas and painted surface.
