Workbench console table

This reclaimed workbench console table is made from well-worn solid oak and retains many of its original workshop features. The thick plank top shows deep grain, surface marks, old fixings, and areas of wear developed through prolonged use, that has now been cleaned and polished ready for a new life. An original metal vice remains fixed to the front, adding to the piece’s industrial character. This piece works well as a console table in a hallway, where lamps can be placed at either end, or as a distinctive desk or workspace. Its long, narrow proportions suit larger rooms and interiors that favour utilitarian materials, reclaimed elements, and honest construction.
