Original Patterson antique rocking horse
This original rocking horse is a beautifully timeworn decorative piece, that can be presented on its original wooden stand or freestanding. Believed to be a Patterson Edwards 'Leeway' of London dapple grey rocking horse on a pine & beechwood cradle. Featuring an unrestored surface with authentic chippy paint, retaining all the charm and character of its age & story. The horse is currently freestanding on its rocker, making it a versatile styling piece - stood on its own on a sideboard, in a hallway, or as a striking corner feature on the original rocking stand. A true statement antique interior decor item. The horse can be secured to the stand if desired, with bolts available upon request. Rocking horses by this maker are easily identified by the general shape of the body, rather large hooves, the shape of the mouth and square stand columns. Leeway made this particular model between 1890 to 1947
