Antique French bee skep
£150.00
Beautifully decorative and rare French bee Skeps. Dating back from the early 1900s, they were used in gardens and orchards to help pollinate flowers. Hand woven from grass with a wood frame for the bees to enter. Would have been home to millions of bees throughout its life. Now illegal in the uk to keep bees in skeps, but they make amazing decorative pieces on a shelf or in an entrance hall, and a real talking point.
