French Canadien sideboard
£545.00
This Canadian antique sideboard is constructed from solid wood and was made in France for a colonist national who moved from France to Canada. It features decorative iron hinges and hardware. The doors have a time worn bleached, textured finish that contrasts with the deeper tone of the surrounding frame. Inside, the cabinet offers useful shelved storage for household items, tableware, or linens. Its proportions are typically generous, with natural wear, markings and variation in the finish adding character and a story to the piece. The original key is included.
