Antique French Grape Harvest Bucket
This authentic antique French grape picker’s bucket, traditionally known as a “hotte”, was originally used during the grape harvest in French vineyards. Workers carried these large wooden buckets on their backs using leather shoulder straps, allowing them to collect grapes while moving through the vines. Crafted from solid wood with traditional metal bands, the bucket shows beautiful natural patina and wear from years of use in the vineyard. The leather backpack straps that once allowed it to be carried are no longer present, but the bucket remains a wonderful and functional piece of French rural history. Its large size makes it perfect for use as a planter, log holder, umbrella stand, or decorative storage piece in a hallway. Some signs of old worm that has been fully treated as a precaution
