SPRING IS IN THE AIR
Its almost springtime, and with the promise of lighter evenings and warmer weather on the horizon its time to turn our attention to this years spring/summer outdoor collection.
Whilst For most people this is the time of year to put away the winter woolies and have a jolly good spring clean, here at Relish Hq there is lots happening behind the scenes to make sure we launch in time for the new season.
One part of our job that we love is taking pictures for our website, making sure that our products look their best so that you can feel confident in your choices when making a purchase. It’s with this in mind that we recently went on location to the grounds of a wonderful country house property to do a shoot for our new collection.
West Charleton Grange is a sprawling estate set in beautiful countryside of the South Hams in Devon, and is the perfect setting to compliment our rustic reclaimed outdoor products. It is always our preferred choice for location shoots as there are numerous areas around the property which can be used for different set ups. Owned by the lovely Mandy & Steve, West Charleton Grange is the perfect place for a family get away with holiday cottages available for rent on the site, along with a pool and games room. Planning and execution
There is much to be done when planning a location shoot; making sure everything has arrived from our suppliers, get our props together including our cleaning kit, scissor, string, boxes that can be used to prop plants up and plants from Green Garden Spaces based at Stokeley Farmshop. But once all of this is done we hop in the van and head to our location to begin setting up.
The joy of this location is that we have done shoots here in the past and so already know the areas we would like to use for certain pictures. Then its time to unload and set up the camera.
What about the Products?
Whilst we always strive to bring you new and exciting products whenever we launch a new collection, our outdoor range is slightly different in that we aim to stock both newly made products such as patio furniture, alongside classic, reclaimed, vintage and antique planters. When putting our collection together this year we have tried to bring together a cohesive mix of shapes, styles and materials to include zinc, enamel, galvanised and corten steel, which have been sourced from around both the uk and europe.
We have French zinc buckets, enamel tub planters from Eastern Europe, and space saving garden benches, alongside the classic dolly tubs of which we now stock three shapes in three sizes to ensure you can choose the best option for you. There are also a few one off pieces which can be viewed at our shipping container store in South Devon between Dartmouth & Kingsbridge at a local farmshop. We plan to launch our outdoor range in store this easter and online soon in March. As always shipping is free on all orders over £35.00.

Time to wrap up
We had a great day at West Charleton Grange, the weather was kind to us, we often had to wait for the sun to go behind the clouds so the shadows weren’t to harsh. We managed to get some great shots which we cant wait to share with you.
Once the shoot is finished its time to put everything back as we found it and repack the van before heading home to get everything back into our store. Then begins the process of checking our shots before editing to make sure they are website ready.
